Some questions by a Non Muslim

Question
Assalam O Alaykum

A non Muslim asked some questions from my friend who is living in Dubai, please answer these questions.

who deserves to go to heaven? Who goes to heaven? How to go to heaven?

Do u want to go to heaven? What will u do there? Who would u like to meet there?

Why do they say heaven and hell is eternal – forever and ever and no way out and also it says that people will be punished on their mistakes then be taken to heaven.

Which one is better. The first to know there is either heaven or hell or or or the second, when people live as they like knowing that they will eventually go to heaven.

Answer
see Ashrafuljawab by Ml Ashraf Ali Thanvi for detail. here r  short answers:
who deserves to go to heaven? Who goes to heaven? How to go to heaven?
All religions have
1.     faith of a perfect n abstract personality who is the creator of this universe  for the judgement of human and Jinn.
2.     similarly all have the concept of Prophets and
3.     its also clear that different prohet came in different ages and places and
4.      people of that age were ordered by that prophet to accept him and left the rulings of previous one.
now u can analyse and understand which religion should be followed nowadays, that is:
  • The one that came into being in the last.
  • whose prophet called him last prophet
  • that has message for people of all places
hence we can say: Islam is the finally launched religion by the ultimate creator.
It means nowadays only Islam’s follower can qualify for Heaven.

Why do they say heaven and hell is eternal – forever and ever and no way out and also it says that people will be punished on their mistakes then be taken to heaven.
Heaven and Hell are eternal in future sense and were created in past by Allah. So there is no conflict.

Which one is better. The first to know there is either heaven or hell or or or the second, when people live as they like knowing that they will eventually go to heaven.
The first one is better bcaz we have faith in that God who plans everything and make the universe for judgment not for entertainment. and definitely only such a person will work hard to get him out of the hell.

starting in prayer depends upon verbal Takbeer not on physical actions

Question
Assalam-o-Alaikum respectable Mufti sahib!

I have two important questions from you:

q-1)
yesterday on 12 february, 2010, during ISHA prayer in Masjid me and my friend were standing behind and ARABIC IMAM. we observed that the IMAM said TAKBEER first and after a little while he raised his hands upto his ears. But almost everybody, including me and my friend, we raised our hands soon after the TAKBEER. so our observation is that we had started our prayer before the IMAM. in this case what will be the status of our namaz?

q-2)
after the prayer, a person stood up and asked for some help because he needed some money for his medical treatment. my friend told me that if anyone ask for help in masjid from GHAIR-ULLAH, helping him is a great sin. please tell me whether my friend was right or wrong?

all the best,

wassalam

Answer
Wa alaikumussalam
  1. Your prayer is valid since starting in prayer depends upon verbal Takbeer not on physical actions and ur Imam did it before u people.
  2. of course begging in a Masjid  and helping him at that time are sin. but this is normally done due to ignorance and unawareness of religion. so my advice is that if u feel the person is really needy and not a professional beggar , take him outside ,make clarification of issue and help him.
